 The tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, is located in Dubai, which is visited by tourists from all over the world.  Dubai is one of the richest and advanced cities in the world.  In addition to the world's tallest building in Dubai, Dubai Mall, located in the middle of the desert, is the largest mall in the world.  There are about 1200 shops here.  Millions of people visit this mall every year.

 History of Burj Khalifa


 It took about 6 years to build this building.  Its construction began on September 21, 2004 by Adrian Smith and was completed on January 4, 2010.  Located in downtown Dubai, the building was opened to the general public in 2010.  When this building was built, it was named Burj Dubai, but the building was financed by the U.A.E.  The building was renamed Burj Khalifa from Burj Dubai at the inauguration in honor of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

  •  Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building in Dubai, has a height of 828 meters (2,716.5 ft).  Which is almost three times as compared to the Eiffel Tower.



  •  It cost nearly 8 billion dollars to build this magnificent building built in 6 years.



  •  This magnificent building is the finest specimen of Islamic architecture.



  •  This building is made of concrete equivalent to 100,000 elephants and aluminum equivalent to five A380 airplanes.



  •  This building was built by 12,000 laborers working day and night.



  •  3 tower cranes were used to make it and each crane was capable of lifting 25 tons.



  •  The exterior cladding of the building is made of 26000 glass panels.  300 cladding specialists were specially invited from China for glass coverings.



  •  The grand building has a total of 163 storeys, with 58 elevators, 2957 parking spaces, 304 hotels and 900 rooms.



  •  There are about 35,000 people living in this building at one time.



  •  The building has 6 world records, including the world's tallest freestanding building, the fastest and tallest lift, the tallest mosque, the tallest swimming pool, the highest floor and the tallest restaurant, etc.



  •  This building is so big that you can easily see it from 95 kilometers away.



  •  The outdoor observation deck called "At the top" was opened on 5 January 2010 on its 124th floor, making it the second largest outdoor observation deck in the world.  Which is located at 452 m (1,483 ft).



  •  The lift of this building operates at a speed of 65 kilometers per hour.



  •  Every day 946,000 liters of water is transported in this huge building with the help of 100 km pipe.



  •  It has the world's highest swimming pool on its 76th floor and a restaurant on the 122nd floor.



  •  The world's tallest mosque is present on its 158th floor and the world's tallest nightclub is built on the 144th floor.



  •  It has 37 office floors and 900 rooms.



  •  This building is surrounded by a man-made lake on all sides, adding to its beauty even more.



  •  A helipad of height 210 meters and 25 meters in width is also built in this building, on which the helicopter is launched.
